2008 Home Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley

2008 Home Ranch Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley

The 2008 vintage represents the fourth bottling from Craig and Ellen’s “Home Ranch” Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard adjacent to their home in Sonoma. In this vintage, the Home Ranch achieved a new level of depth and concentration and represents our best result from this vineyard yet. Expressive with explosive blueberry aromatics leading to hints of chocolate mint, this wine has lush textures framed by fine-grained tannins.

First Vintage: 2005 Release: Spring Cases Produced: 180

Home Ranch Vineyard

Sonoma Valley

Planted by Sojourn Founder Craig Haserot, the Home Ranch Vineyard is located just 10 minutes northwest of the town of Sonoma. The vineyard sits in a small bowl protected by the southern edge of Sonoma Mountain. The microclimate averages 3 to 5 degrees warmer than downtown Sonoma. The heat brings Cabernet Sauvignon to full maturity, for dark, concentrated wines.
