Sojourn Cellars produces terroir-driven wines from exceptional vineyards around the North Coast of California farmed by Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon growers who share our commitment to high quality.

Spring Mountain District

Napa Valley

Sojourn’s Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from fruit grown by Sam Baxter on Terra Valentine’s Wuertle Vineyard. This property was originally planted in 1990 and is situated high above St Helena at an average elevation of 1,000 feet above sea level. The unique aspect and soils of Spring Mountain combine to provide a distinctive signature that naturally showcases power and structure. Our Burgundian sensibilities and gentle winemaking techniques help us “tame the beast” and produce wines with silky tannins and restrained power.

2009 Spring Mountain District

2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

Starting in 2009 we upgraded our vineyard source for Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon and began working with Wurtele Vineyard mid-way up the rugged mountain slopes west of St. Helena. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and showcases the classic Spring Mountain dark fruit and sweet herbal notes. Deeply concentrated flavors of cassis, black fruit, tar, licorice, and spice satiate the palate and persist with nuanced layering for a smooth mouthfeel and long finish.
