Montalvo Arts Food & Wine Classic

This is Silicon Valley’s premier wine and culinary event that benefits the Montalvo Arts Center

In the elegant setting of our historic Villa and picturesque grounds, sample gourmet fare from some of the most celebrated restaurants in the Bay Area and enjoy tastings from many of the region’s finest wineries. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on rare & limited edition wines and special dining & travel packages during a live and silent charity auction. Proceeds will go to support Montalvo and its arts and education outreach programs.

The elegant precursor to the main event, this year’s reception is sure to be the best yet: Kokkari Estiatorio—Zagat’s 2014 #1-rated San Francisco restaurant—will provide their award-winning cuisine exclusively at the reception. Guests will also enjoy valet parking, chilled champagne, and special tastings of rare private cellar vintages (both white and red) guided by Jeffrey Perisho, Wine Director of the Plumed Horse.

Chefs and winemakers will chat with guests as they prepare and serve their unique creations. Guests will bid on rare and limited edition wines and special dining and travel packages during a live and silent charity auction.

Manhattan Beach Wine Auction

Saturday June 13, 2015 starting at 4:30pm

The Manhattan Wine Auction, now in its 21st year, is the largest charity wine auction in Southern California, and raises funds for the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation. Hosted at the Manhattan Country Club, the Wine Auction is a sold out gala each year with approximately 1,800 guests. With fences and tennis nets removed, guests stroll through the grounds sampling the best in food and wine in a casual and festive party atmosphere. Silent auction tables are located throughout, and guests enjoy the convenience of mobile bidding from anywhere via their cell phones. The live auction and program occurs on Center Court where a stage is surrounded by sponsored tables, with chairs set up on the surrounding bleachers.

Food tastings from 40 of the finest local restaurants and specialty cafes;
Sampling from 75 distinguished wineries, distilleries and breweries;

Pinot Days San Francisco celebrates the amazing noble grape in all its gloriously diverse styles, and this year’s offering is more broad and complete than ever. Over 80 artisan winemakers representing every domestic Pinot noir region will pour the fruits of their craft, each sharing their unique interpretation of Pinot noir and the stories of their winemaking.
