2021 Reuling Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2021 Reuling Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Reuling Vineyard has a unique terroir that continues to fascinate us as winemakers. It is planted to three Pinot noir clones: Calera, and two “suitcase” clones from the Vosne Romanée region of Burgundy: La Tâche and Romanée Conti. Mark Aubert helped develop the vineyard and produced highly rated Reuling Pinot noir wines for ten years. Impressive and distinctive, this 2021 Pinot Noir opens with complex aromas of earth and forest floor that lead to dark cherry, mushroom and truffle notes. Jeb Dunnuck writes, “Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a wonderful sense of tension, integrated tannins, a good spine of acidity, and just the classic cooler climate, elegant, perfumed style of this appellation front and center. It’s well worth seeking out.”

International Wine Report
"The 2021 Reuling Pinot Noir from Sojourn rests in 50% new French oak barrels and displays a glimmering medium ruby and garnet core with a neon purple rim. Blue plums, huckleberries, black raspberries, Christmas spices, and toasted vanilla notes spill from the glass. A chewy, lush, and interesting Pinot that finishes long with a blue-fruit leather note on the back palate." - Jeremy Young, International Wine Report
