2022 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2022 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir has been our flagship wine since 2004. The vineyard is located on Roberts Road at the western base of Sonoma Mountain. The Clone 115 and Mt Eden blocks were our last Pinot Noir picks of the 2022 vintage. These long hang times resulted in robust flavors with depth and complexity. This wine offers an intriguing blend of dark red fruits and forest floor with the signature Sangiacomo creamy texture. This vintage offers excellent acidity with silky tannins that are enjoyable now yet will age well in your cellar.

"All destemmed fruit was used in the 2022 Sangiacomo Vineyard Pinot Noir from Sojourn. Seeing 50% new French oak during aging, it sports a glistening medium ruby-garnet core with a bluish rim in the glass. A touch more meaty and earthy than its siblings - think notes of crushed pink peppercorn and a touch of peppered charcuterie. Bold blue and red fruited notes meld with violet flowers and black tea notes that sit on the mid-palate. Highly recommended and editor’s choice." - Jeremy Young, International Wine Report

"The Sangiacomo Vineyard is a cool, windswept site located in the Sonoma Coast AVA. This is juicy with its pomegranate seed and guava fruit flavors that mingle well with red cherry, kumquat and stony minerals on the palate. Finishing long with red fruits and copious minerals, this is a beautiful new bottling that will cellar well for another fifteen plus years." - Owen Bargreen
Sangiacomo Vineyard
Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap
Sangiacomo Vineyard on Roberts Road near Cotati has been Sojourn’s flagship Pinot noir vineyard since 2004. This exceptional site was developed in an old creekbed at the western base of Sonoma Mountain. In summer and fall, cool air and fog from the Pacific Ocean get trapped here, allowing for uncommonly long hangtimes without sacrificing acidity and balance.
