Oakville Ranch Vineyard has become one of the most sought-after vineyards by Napa winemakers for top quality Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a rugged 330-acre estate tucked into a rocky shelf overlooking Screaming Eagle. Sojourn sources from three distinct blocks that combine to create a balanced wine with outstanding aging potential. It is farmed organically by the esteemed Phil Coturri in red, volcanic soils on steep inclines. The vineyard excelled in 2021 and the resulting wine is a collector’s treat, offering tremendous depth and aromatic intensity.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"It's easy to think of the Oakville AVA as being just the valley floor, but it extends well up into the Vaca Range on Napa's eastern side. Sojourn's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch Vineyard comes from a site approximately 1,400 feet above sea level and is a mix of Clones 4, 169 and 337 (plus 4% Petit Verdot), all aged in 75% new French oak. Scents of crushed stone, black cherries and blackberries appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is firmly structured and streamlined, framed by silky tannins that linger on the cool, slightly menthol-tinged finish. It makes a harmonious overall impression, albeit a very youthful one, with time to grow into a potentially outstanding wine. Unfortunately, production is only 150 cases." - Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"With a dark brooding purple core with a fluorescent purple rim, the 2021 Oakville Ranch Cabernet from Sojourn offers up immense notes of forest herbs, black licorice, blackberries, cassis, crushed black plums, sweet toasted cinnamon stick, leather, and cigar ash. It’s a big, dark-fruited, juicy, and complex wine that ends with crunchy tannins, elevated acidity, and a black fruit and spice-driven finish. Better in 2025. Highly
recommended." - Jeremy Young, International Wine Report
Oakville Ranch Vineyard
Oakville, Napa Valley
At 1,000 to 1,400 feet above sea level, the Oakville Ranch Vineyard looks west over Napa Valley. This high elevation and western exposure, in combination with soils of clay over volcanic rock, produce the rich, powerfully structured wines that make the vineyard one of the most sought-after in California for Cabernet Sauvignon.
